Ranked 37th Nationally, Bang Dhin: Don’t Hide Behind a “Good” Rating

Banjarmasin – South Kalimantan Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) member H. M. Syaripuddin, S.E., M.AP., views the province’s ranking—37th out of 38 provinces—in the 2026 performance assessment for One-Stop Integrated Services and the Acceleration of Business Implementation as a serious wake-up call for the South Kalimantan Provincial Government.

“Despite achieving a score of 64.390 and a ‘Good’ rating, the reality is that South Kalimantan sits just one spot above the very bottom. The government must not hide behind this ‘Good’ label. It indicates serious issues within the governance of licensing and investment services,” asserted Bang Dhin.

He urged the governor to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) and all technical regional agencies involved in the licensing process. The government must identify bottlenecks, expedite technical reviews, optimize the Online Single Submission (OSS) system, and set measurable improvement targets.

“South Kalimantan possesses vast resources and investment potential. However, all investment promotion efforts will be in vain if the bureaucracy remains sluggish, fragmented, and fails to provide certainty to business players,” he stated.

Bang Dhin emphasized that he would push the DPRD to demand an explanation and a concrete action plan from the regional government.

“The goal must be clear: South Kalimantan must immediately rise from the bottom tier. The bureaucracy must exist to serve and facilitate healthy investment, not to act as an obstacle,” he concluded.
