With the theme “Empowered Women, Prosperous Villages,” the inauguration marked a significant milestone in strengthening the role of women in village development while supporting various strategic government programs that support rural communities.
Srikandi Jaga Desa is the official wing of the National Village Consultative Body Association, established to strengthen women’s participation in development, community empowerment, government program oversight, and transparent and accountable village governance.
On that occasion, Ella Nurlaela Tubagoes was officially inaugurated as the General Chairperson of the Srikandi Jaga Desa Central Executive Board (DPP), along with all board members from the central, provincial, and district/city levels from across Indonesia.
The event was also attended by several state officials, including the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, ministers and deputy ministers, commissioners and directors of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and regional heads from various regions across Indonesia. Also in attendance were Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal and Maluku Governor Sherly Laos, who also serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Srikandi Jaga Desa Advisory Board.

Women Become Drivers of Village Progress
In his remarks, Hashim expressed his appreciation to all the women members of Srikandi Jaga Desa for their commitment and dedication to supporting village development.
He stated that the inauguration was timely, coinciding with the launch of various priority programs of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
He mentioned that several strategic government programs, such as the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG), the Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives, and the People’s Schools, require joint support and oversight to ensure optimal implementation.
“Government programs with noble goals have already begun, one of which is the Free Nutritious Meals Program, which aims to improve the health of children in villages. However, if their implementation is not properly supervised and managed, the results will certainly not be optimal,” Hashim said.
Hashim also emphasized that the success of every government program depends heavily on the oversight of all elements of society.
“Programs with noble goals must not fail due to weak oversight. Let us monitor them together so that each program runs as planned and provides real benefits to village communities,” he said.
SMSI and ABPEDNAS Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement
Following the inauguration ceremony, the event continued with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the National Village Consultative Body Association and the Indonesian Cyber Media Union on the main stage, witnessed by all participants and invited guests.
The signing of the agreement was carried out by the General Chairperson of the ABPEDNAS Central Executive Board, Ir. H. Indra Utama, M.PWK., IPU, and the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Cyber Media Union, Firdaus.
This collaboration is a strategic step in strengthening publication, education, and dissemination of information regarding various village development programs implemented by the government.
In this collaboration, the Indonesian Cyber Media Union, which has approximately 3,181 member cyber media companies throughout Indonesia, expressed its commitment to supporting the implementation of the Village Guard Attorney (Jaga Desa) program.
Furthermore, the Indonesian Cyber Media Union, together with ABPEDNAS, will also establish a Village Guard News Room Working Group in all regencies and cities in Indonesia to strengthen information synergy and oversight of village development.
This collaboration is expected to strengthen synergy between the government, law enforcement officials, village governments, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), the mass media, and the community in realizing transparent, accountable, and welfare-oriented village governance.
The national inauguration of Srikandi Jaga Desa (Village Guardians), along with the signing of a cooperation agreement between ABPEDNAS and the Indonesian Cyber Media Union, marked an important milestone in strengthening the role of women and cyber media as strategic partners for the government in overseeing village development toward advanced, independent, and prosperous villages.
