BANJARBARU – The groundbreaking ceremony was conducted by the Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development of the South Kalimantan Provincial Secretariat, Ariadi Noor, representing the Governor of South Kalimantan, H. Muhidin. The event was also witnessed by the Chairman of the Indonesian Automotive Association (IMI) of South Kalimantan Province, Edy Sudarmadi, the IMI board of directors, and relevant guests.
The Chairman of the IMI of South Kalimantan Province, Edy Sudarmadi, expressed his gratitude for the support of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government for the development of automotive organizations in Banua.
He stated that the construction of this secretariat demonstrates the government’s commitment to IMI, which represents various automotive communities and motorsport enthusiasts.
“Alhamdulillah, within a year of our administration, we received a land grant from the South Kalimantan Provincial Government. Today, the groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of the construction of the IMI South Kalimantan secretariat office,” said Edy.
Edy explained that the donated land covers approximately 2,500 square meters and is strategically located within the South Kalimantan Provincial Government office complex. He believes this secretariat will further strengthen the synergy between IMI and the regional government.
“This symbolizes the closeness and partnership between IMI and the provincial government. IMI is not only active in the automotive and sports sectors, but is also expected to contribute to the community, both through social activities, tourism, and youth development,” he explained.
Furthermore, Edy expressed his hope that the construction of the secretariat office can be carried out sustainably and completed within one year. He added that the secretariat building will be designed to be functional and tailored to the organization’s needs.
“We hope this secretariat can become an information center, a coordination center, and a center of innovation for automotive development in South Kalimantan. Please pray that the construction will run smoothly and provide widespread benefits,” he concluded.
The construction of the IMI South Kalimantan Secretariat Office is expected to be a new milestone in strengthening IMI’s role as a strategic partner of the regional government in developing automotive sports and community activities in South Kalimantan.
