HPPMTL Produces Prospective Young Entrepreneurs Through Tala Youth Entrepreneur 2026

PELAIHARI – The Tanah Laut Student and Young Entrepreneur Association (HPPMTL) reaffirmed its commitment to developing an independent young generation capable of creating business opportunities through the Tala Youth Entrepreneur 2026 event at the Sinar Hotel Pelaihari on Saturday (July 18, 2026).

With the theme “Building Independent, Creative, Innovative, and Competitive Tanah Laut Youth,” this event provides a learning platform for young people to broaden their entrepreneurial horizons and increase their capacity to face the challenges of an increasingly competitive business world.

The event was opened by the Head of the Tanah Laut Regency Youth and Sports Office (Dispora), Rudi Imithansyah, who represented the Tanah Laut Regent, H. Rahmat Trianto.

Several prominent figures also attended as speakers, including Andi Rustianto, Chairman of the South Kalimantan KNPI Regional Leadership Council (DPD), Hariyanor, Chairman of the Central Executive Board (PP) of the Indonesian Youth Empowerment and Development Organization (PP HPPMTL), Irwien Sasmita Riyadhi, Chairman of the Indonesian Youth Empowerment and Development Association (IMAGA) of South Kalimantan, and Syahiful Hadi, among others.

In his remarks, Rudi Imithansyah emphasized the strategic role of entrepreneurship development in preparing a productive and competitive young generation.

He believes that an entrepreneurial spirit needs to be instilled from an early age so that young people are not only job seekers but also able to create jobs for the community.

“Activities like this are very positive because they provide the knowledge, experience, and motivation for the younger generation to dare to start their own businesses,” he said.

He added that the emergence of young entrepreneurs will be a crucial pillar in strengthening the regional economy and supporting the realization of the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.

Meanwhile, Hariyanor, Chairman of the Central Executive Board (PP HPPMTL), stated that Tala Youth Entrepreneur 2026 represents a concrete step by the organization to improve the quality of human resources, particularly in the field of entrepreneurship.

He explained that the training participants ranged from schoolchildren, university students, organization activists, to young people with a strong interest in developing businesses.

Hariyanor emphasized that the mentoring program doesn’t stop with the training. HPPMTL will continue to provide mentoring through follow-up programs, including facilitating access to capital and building networks with various parties so that the businesses the participants start can grow sustainably.

“Mentoring is a crucial part of this program. We want participants to truly be able to implement the knowledge they gain and establish sustainable businesses,” he said.

Enthusiasm for the program was quite high. Of the more than 100 applicants, only 20 participants were selected after going through the administrative selection and assessment process.

Through Tala Youth Entrepreneur 2026, HPPMTL hopes to produce innovative young entrepreneurs with character who are capable of making a real contribution to regional economic growth and creating more jobs in Tanah Laut Regency.

The program received support from the Tanah Laut Regency Government along with a number of partners, including the WPR Group, PT Laz Coal Mandiri (LCM), 83 Dua Mas Group, DPD KNPI South Kalimantan, PTPN IV PKS Pelaihari, Baznas Tanah Laut Regency, PTPN IV Kebun Pelaihari, and Perumda Baratala Tuntung Pandan.
