BANJARBARU – Toyota Gazoo Racing Indonesia driver Ryan Nirwan won the second round of the 2026 Banua Rally National Championship after posting the fastest time of 42 minutes and 33.9 seconds on the Citra Mandiri City (CMC) track in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, on Sunday.
Accompanied by navigator Adi Indiarto in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, Ryan dominated throughout the six special stages (SS) and successfully maintained the fastest time in the premier RC2 class until the end of the race.
Strong competition was provided by the MAB HRVRT duo from South Kalimantan, M. Fahrezi Fadh and Jason Farmer, who finished second in a Hyundai i20 N Rally2 with a time gap of 33.7 seconds over Ryan Nirwan.
Dewa United Motorsports driver Tb Adhi and driver M. Herkusuma in a Ford Fiesta Rally3 took third place, with a time of 1 minute and 16.1 seconds behind the overall leader in the second round.
A tight battle ensued throughout the race, particularly in the RC2 category, as Ryan Nirwan maintained consistent times in each SS despite slippery track conditions due to changing track surfaces in several sectors.
Meanwhile, rally driver Musa Rajekshah and driver Hervian Soejono from Bla Bla Bla Motorsport finished fourth in a Skoda RS Rally2, while H. Dypo Fitra of the Delta Garage Racing Team took fifth.
After the race, M. Fahrezi Fadh, a young driver from MAB HRVRT from South Kalimantan and one of the host nation’s new talents at the 2026 Banua Rally National Championship, admitted that he had experienced difficulties due to an incident in the previous round, which had caused him to lag behind in his time.
“This second round was quite exciting, serving Ryan Nirwan. I had another accident due to the slippery track, but thank God I still managed to finish second overall,” said Fahrezi.
