South Kalimantan’s Young Racer Wins IMI Award After Winning the 2025 National Motocross Championship

BANJARBARU – Young motocross racer from South Kalimantan, Ahmad Susilo, better known as Silo, received the IMI Award after securing the 2025 National Motocross Championship (Kejurnas). This brilliant achievement solidifies his position as one of the country’s most talented young racers.

The award from the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) was presented directly by the Chairman of IMI South Kalimantan, Edy Sudarmadi, at the final night of the IMI South Kalimantan Jamboree held at the Babussalam Sports Hall in Banjarbaru City on Saturday (12/13/2025).

Silo previously won the final series of the 2025 National Motocross Championship at the Bantir Circuit, Bandungan, Sumowono, Semarang Regency, Central Java. This victory was the culmination of the hard work of the racer under the auspices of CV Silo 86.

This talented young racer expressed his gratitude for the appreciation he received. He said this achievement served as a great motivation to continue improving his skills and future achievements.

“Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful to Allah SWT for all these achievements. Many thanks to my parents and team for their continued support,” Silo told the media on Sunday (12/14/2025).

Ready to Appear in International Events
Silo emphasized that he will continue to focus on intensive training. He also expressed his readiness to compete in international events if the opportunity arises.

“Right now, I’m focused on training. In the future, if there are international championships in Thailand, Malaysia, or other countries, I’m ready to participate. I ask for everyone’s prayers and support,” he added.

With his achievements at such a young age, Silo is expected to bring fame to South Kalimantan and Indonesia on the international motocross scene. In addition to the IMI Award presentation, the South Kalimantan IMI Jamboree also included a Provincial Working Meeting (Rakerprov) to discuss the development of motorsports in South Kalimantan. (*)
