Jakarta — The Chairman of the South Kalimantan PDI Perjuangan Regional Leadership Council (DPD), M. Syaripuddin, SE, M.AP, along with members of the South Kalimantan PDI Perjuangan Regional Leadership Council (KSB) attended the 2026 Pancasila Birth Ceremony held at the PDI Perjuangan Central Executive Board (DPP) Party School in Lenteng Agung, Jakarta.
The presence of the South Kalimantan PDI Perjuangan structural members demonstrates the party’s commitment to reaffirming Pancasila as the foundation of the state, the nation’s ideology, and the guiding principle for people-oriented political struggle.
The 2026 Pancasila Birth Commemoration carries the theme “Pancasila Unites the Nation, the Foundation for World Peace,” as stipulated in the official BPIP guidelines. The theme emphasizes that Pancasila is not only the constitutional foundation of the state, but also a moral and ideological strength in maintaining national unity amidst global and national challenges.
M. Syaripuddin emphasized that for the PDI-P, Pancasila is not merely a historical text, but must be lived out in concrete actions, especially in siding with the common people, farmers, fishermen, laborers, MSMEs, and communities still facing development inequality.
“Pancasila must be present in daily political work. It must not remain a mere ceremony, but must become the lifeblood of PDI-P cadres’ struggle to defend the people, maintain unity, and ensure the state is present for those in need,” said M. Syaripuddin.
He also stated that the presence of the KSB DPC throughout South Kalimantan at the Party School was a momentum for ideological and organizational consolidation. He believes that the party’s regional structure must become more solid, disciplined, and capable of translating Pancasila values into concrete actions within the community.
“From this Party School, we carry an important message: PDI-P cadres in South Kalimantan must go down to the grassroots, listen to the voice of the people, fight for social justice, and maintain diversity. That is the true face of Pancasila,” he emphasized.
M. Syaripuddin added that South Kalimantan, as a region rich in natural resources, social diversity, and dynamic development, requires political leadership that sides with the people and is based on the values of Pancasila.
According to him, the principle of social justice must be the primary direction of the struggle for regional development, starting from equitable distribution of infrastructure, education, health, energy access, protection of farmers and fishermen, to strengthening the people’s economy.
“Our task is to ensure that Pancasila is grounded in South Kalimantan. Pancasila must be felt in public policies, in services to the people, and in the courage to fight for the interests of the common people,” he continued.
The Pancasila Birth Day ceremony at the PDI Perjuangan Central Executive Board (DPP) Party School also served as a space for reflection for all cadres to strengthen the spirit of mutual cooperation, nationalism, and loyalty to the ideals of the August 17, 1945 Proclamation.
M. Syaripuddin emphasized that the South Kalimantan PDI Perjuangan Regional Executive Board (DPD) will continue to strengthen party consolidation down to the grassroots level, while ensuring that all cadres are present as pioneers of unity, guardians of the Pancasila ideology, and champions of the people’s interests.
“Pancasila is our path of struggle. As long as the people still need justice, as long as inequality persists, as long as national unity must be maintained, PDI Perjuangan cadres must not stop moving,” concluded M. Syaripuddin.
