Jakarta – PERADI Profesional has once again achieved a national achievement by earning a record from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) for signing the largest number of partnerships between legal organizations and religious universities, involving 108 religious universities under the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta (July 8).
This strategic collaboration, involving the Directorate General of Islamic Education of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, the University of Indonesia (UI), and 108 state and private universities under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, represents a major step towards strengthening legal education based on integrity, professionalism, and religious values.
Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar expressed his appreciation for the initiative. He stated that this collaboration represents a crucial momentum in addressing the increasingly complex legal challenges facing society.
“I congratulate all parties, especially PERADI Profesional, who, together with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the University of Indonesia, initiated this very important event,” said the Minister of Religious Affairs.
He emphasized that current legal issues are no longer simply related to regulatory texts, but must also be able to address evolving social dynamics.
“We live in an increasingly complex society. Legal issues no longer exist in isolation as mere regulatory texts,” he said.
The Chairman of PERADI Profesional, Harris Arthur Hedar, emphasized that the collaboration is not simply the signing of a memorandum of understanding, but the beginning of building a legal education ecosystem that connects academics, government, and professional organizations.
“This is not just a ceremony. We are uniting forces to build legal education based on knowledge, integrity, and morals,” said Harris, who is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Indonesian Cyber Media Union (SMSI).
According to him, PERADI Profesional will expand its advocate capacity building program through Special Advocate Professional Education (PKPA), both general and sharia-based, to produce competent and integrated advocates.
“In the future, there will be PKPA and advocate professional education, including general and sharia schemes, to improve competency,” he explained.
Harris also highlighted the importance of restoring public trust in the legal profession, which has faced various challenges.
“We want to restore public trust in advocates by improving quality and integrity, so that advocates can once again become an officium nobile, or honorable profession,” he emphasized.
In recognition of this achievement, the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) awarded PERADI Profesional with the award number 12803/R.MURI/VII/2026 for the record “Most Signings of Cooperation Agreements between Advocates Organizations and Religious Universities,” involving 108 religious universities.
